Hailing from Hamilton, Ohio, Chris has called NYC home for over twenty years (and no he didn’t move here when he was 10, he thanks his parents daily for good genes). Aftering touring the country and performing in theatre for many years, Chris has now been working in fitness (AFAA certified), with a focus on kettlebell, HIIT and cardio training, for the past five years. He’s known for pushing you to your limits, helping you unlock your inner superhero, but you’ll likely forget how hard you’re working because you’ll be having way too much fun. When not teaching class, he enjoys sprinkling YAAAAAS all over NYC and spending time with his husband and their four-legged pal, Niles at their cabin upstate.

For the last seven years, he’s only updated his FB status in the form of haiku

Born and raised in the wicked cool city of Boston (BAH-sten), Massachusetts, Coco is like a sour patch kid. First she’s sweet then she’ll kick your ass in a grueling workout session. Growing up riding horses in Montana and later joining her college’s equestrian team, Coco has always been competitive and loved playing sports. Coming from the American Academy of Personal Training, Coco enjoys all different types of workouts and exercises. One day she’ll be doing yoga and the next day you’ll find her training for a marathon or trying underwater cycling. Coco grew up spending most of her summers in Montana on a dude ranch or in stables cleaning horse poop in exchange for lessons. We wouldn’t judge Coco on her sweet and composed exterior demeanor. She will push your body to the extreme every workout because she believes in lifting heavy, getting dirty, giving it all you got, and ignoring the brrrn in your muscles. Coco keeps clients moving from the second they walk into the door to the moment they leave, and she doesn’t have sympathy for people who give up early just because they’re tired. Coco understands that every workout should be rewarding for you emotionally and physically because she has experienced herself how it can help overcome life’s hurdles and change a life. Bonus: in her classes, you might witness her cringe-worthy dance moves!

Scott is midwest sweet like Faygo Pop. His passion to teach and motivate comes from his love of movement and physical expression. The positivity you will experience in Scott’s class will keep you warm until the workout has you sweating! When he’s not chilling in the Brrrn studio, he is a full-time puppy papa of Buddy, that pooch you see working the front desk!

A background in public health and food, Johnny served on former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Obesity Task Force in 2012 creating opportunities for access to physical activity and healthy eating. Tess now teaches yoga privately and in studios throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.
As a yogi and teacher, Tess is passionate about guiding students in discovering their inner compass and sense of purpose through a playful lense.
